Hospitality and Tourism Management
ABOUT PROGRAM
Work & study Program of Canada is successful program for recent high school, college & graduate student to develop skills in Hospitality followed by the Industrial experience. Program gives two options to applicant
Option 1.
Tourism and Hospitality English. This comprehensive practical course provides students with essential language skills for confident and professional communication with customers in hotels, restaurants, airports or tourist attractions. In addition to English for Tourism & Hospitality certificate, students also learn strategies for language fluency and gain valuable knowledge in the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, useful English, conversation skills and job skills.
Option 2.
Program is suitable for recent high school, college/university graduate students who are seeking Canadian education and experience and for Junior Managers in the hospitality management, culinary management or tourism industry. Up to 24 weeks of credits from the student’s previous education can be transferred towards in-class introduction hours.
(Programs are available only in Vancouver city).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Combined with option 1.
This work placement program gives you an opportunity to work in one of Canada’s top resorts, or experience Vancouver – one of the most lively cities in the world. This program allows you to pay off your expenses thanks to the paid job, meet people from all around the world and improve your English.
Combined with option 2.
Work placement in relevant fields of studies – hospitality, tourism, culinary or business management jobs in different Vancouver restaurants, hotels etc. If a student is interested in the culinary industry, a mixture of hotel restaurant placement and individual fine dining restaurants could be arranged.
DURATION
For option 1.
6 months program – 2 months of studies + 4 months of internship
8 months program – 3 months of studies + 5 months of internship
12 months program – 4 months of studies + 8 months of internship
For option 2.
2 years program (1) – 49 weeks of class + 49 weeks of internship (without any credit transfer)
2 years program (2) – 25 weeks of class + 73 weeks of internship (with a maximum 24 weeks credit transfer from the previous education).
LIVE-IN CAREGIVER CANADA
The “Live-in Caregiver” program is designed to provide female and male students with a unique opportunity to study work and immigrate to Canada.
The “Live-in Caregiver” program allows suitably qualified people from other countries to enter Canada and work as Live-in Caregivers. After working for 2 years as a caregiver participants can apply for permanent residence in Canada
TYPE OF VISA
All students participating in the Live-in Caregiver Training program are required to have a Visitor Visa.
EDUCATION
The Live-in Caregiver Training Course is a full-time, six-month (min. 750 hour), government accredited training program that prepares students to work in a Canadian family, either as a caregiver to a dependent elderly or disabled person.
Instruction includes both theory and hands-on, in-school practice. Students learn through lectures, textbooks, audio-visuals, individual and group projects, and class discussions. Assessment and feedback are given on an ongoing basis and, upon completion of the course, students will receive a diploma.
INTERNSHIP HOST ORGANIZATIONS
All the placements shall be provided in leading International/National chain of Hotel/Resorts. Majority of placements are in the properties located at major tourist destinations on the world map.
DURATION
The training period takes 6 months. After the training period you are able to start working as a caregiver. After 2 years of working as a caregiver you are able to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Basic education diploma
- Graduate from High School (the equivalent of a Canadian high school education)
- Age 19-55 years old
- Intermediate Level of English
- No Police record and be healthy
- Submit all required health details
- Read, agree and sign all program guidelines.
